This action is prompted by the refusal of Butler County officials to remit to U.S.D. No. 490 the interest portion of a settlement in United States District Court of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad Company, et al. v. Harley Duncan, cases Nos. 80-4172, -4173, -4176, -4181 and -1690 (the 4-R Act cases). The county paid the tax portion of the settlement to petitioner but refused to pay the interest.
